a quick synopsis

Nothing terrifies Colin more than leaving his home. When his beloved cat runs out of food, he musters the courage to make a quick convenience store run. This trip…isn’t exactly what he thought it would be.

Behind the Scenes

Writing Bootsy Collins

Telling good stories takes practice. My time as screenwriter on Bootsy Collins helped me learn how to develop characters and a narrative for moving image—plus, it was insanely fun project! It took a deep understanding for the characters I wanted to portray (their motivations, thoughts, feelings, fears, etc.), but I had to translate those 2D characters in a 3D space. Every piece of dialogue, movement, and scene I wrote became the backbone to what the Director of Photography, Art Director, Producer and Director would use to create the final picture.

Not only that, but I was the camera operator. I captured every image under the direction of the Director of Photography.

Fun Fact: Never work with a cat. Ever. Unsurprisingly, they don't want to do what they're told.
